Very dumb question

Hey Im about to bring my bike to the shop tomorrow to get repaired. The parts are in the rear seat. I did not want to hop on these forums and sound like a complete fool but I gotta ask to get the parts out... How do u pop the rear seat open? My other old bikes had a keyhole beside the seat but this one doesn't seem to have one?

I should be shot for asking this but I need to get the parts out of the rear compartment.

I think it's beside the tail light on the 929.

I was young and stupid then. I'm old and stupid now.

Re: Very dumb question

i have no idea on the 929.. i know on superhawks they were near the tail light.. 954 was behind the driver seat, and 1krr is below the rear cowl on the left side.. i'm guessing you bought this bike used.. look for button or switches that don't typically belong, someone may have put an electronic release on there...

Re: Very dumb question

How exactly did you put the parts in there if you can't open it?

Re: Very dumb question

Check around the tail light that's where it's at. Even after market uindertails have it there it's rare to find one that does not have the slot

Re: Very dumb question

No question is dumb here

Get in touch with the previous owners... They should be able to help you if we can't.

They might have made some other form of device to open it - As Bladeracer asked, how did you get the parts under there in the first place or was it there when you bought it?

"Second is the first of the losers..."

Re: Very dumb question

My guess he was told they were in there, I mean if he put them there he would have had to open it and close it again, think he would remember that. If not I think he should sell the bike quickly
