What Clutch plates to use ?

When replacing the clutch plates on a 2000 929 what are the best ones to use?? Is it the OEM, Carbon Fiber, Kevlar or something else? Does one last longer than the other? Thanks

Alcohol doesn't solve anything but neither does milk...

id say stick with oem. there is really no reason to upgrade unless you will be drag racing and even then u dont really need to. i used to race my kawi zx7r at the drags when i was a teenager totally stock for the first 2 seasons, then piped and jetted by my 3rd year with the bike. never ever did the oem clutch slip after countless burnouts, hard launches, and all around abuse.

Re: What Clutch plates to use ?

I've used OEM plates/discs with Barnett springs and have had great results with everyday riding and drag racing, never had clutch slip on either my '03 954 or '06 1000RR after many, many passes.

on OEM plates and Barnett HD springs. lever is gonna be a little harder to pull but you'll get used to that.

if you can't convince them, confuse them.
