Weird F#@k'n Bolts

Ok rookie question. I have a 97 CBR 900rr. What type of socket do i need to get these caliper bolts off and split the calipers. There is no tool kit and I have completely lost patience with tool depts.

not 100% sure on the 900 but it should be a couple of regular hex head bolts to get each caliper off then a torx bit to split them apart

edit: I just checked the microfiche, up standard hex head and torx bit bolts

if you can't convince them, confuse them.

Re: Weird F#@k'n Bolts

Yep, all caliper bolts should be torx. Be sure to loktite them when you put them back together.

No, I swear to god these things are tapered. A 10mm socket just slides right off.

10mm?
I don't understand which bolts you mean.
Any chance of pics?
Do they look like the originals?
