Wave discs? Radial Brakes? Anyone???

Does anybody here have any experience with Wave brake discs?

Are they crap, good or the same as standard???

Does anybody have any experience with radial mounted calipers (any brand) on their 929 or 954?

Good, bad, same as standard???

Re: Wave discs? Radial Brakes? Anyone???

I think LTL had radial mount Brembo's on his 929.

I came to within one phone call to DK to getting brembo rotors/calipers and master cy. for my bike.

Re: Wave discs? Radial Brakes? Anyone???

I have the one piece billet monoblock radial calipers with the brembo radial billet master cylinder on my Ducati 996 and it's waaaaaay too much for me. Awesome stopping power though. Don't know much about Wave rotors, I use full floating Brembo as well.

Re: Wave discs? Radial Brakes? Anyone???

I ran an endurance on wave rotors and didn't like them at all. Their only "advantage" is saving a bit of weight, but when they got hot (hmmmm, ya think the rotors get hot during an 8 hour endurance?), they pulse like crazy and they ended up warping by the end of the race. I especially didn't like them on the rear brake, as I could barely use it without causing all sorts of havoc on corner entry.

Performance aside, I just don't like the looks of the wave rotors.

Is a paradigm worth 20 cents?
