Cali Mods to 49 stater

When receiving a CA 929/954 model, what must be done to change it to a 49 State model?

I know you can pull the O2 sensor, and remap the PCIIIr so that it is a 49er, but what else????

Thanks.

Spank her once for me.

Re: Cali Mods to 49 stater

I think the ecu and all the emissions crap like the the O2 sensor, vaper recovery tank, etc. Then tank is different too, the inside of the fill neck is smaller. As far as I have ever heard, the motor, internaly is the same.

Re: Cali Mods to 49 stater

You can save roughly two pounds by removing the charcoal canister and reed valve assembly.

As far as these changes affecting performance, they don't. The days of smog systems choking california bikes are over. Making these changes gives you a little bit more room when you're working on the bike, and make putting it back together a little bit easier.

I'll take that O2 sensor off your hands if you don't want it.

Don't forget the catalytic convertor if you still have the stock muffler on.
