Revalving Forks?

Hi everyone,

I know this is probably a stupid question, but can someone briefly explain what "revalving the forks" means.

Thanks

Re: Revalving Forks?

It means changing valves in the forks.

Re: Revalving Forks?

By revalving, meaning changing the original fork valuves if I understood correctly. Does this mean that you have better front end handling performance?

Possibly, depending on the bike. Valves by themselves make up just a portion of fork work. By themselves, they usually don't achieve much. AFAIK Dan Kyle considers the stock 929/954 valves to be quite good, so he attacks the problem by changing the springs (first and foremost), shim stack, possibly the oil, and polishing the inner tubes.
