dunlop d616 good tire for my 929?

I just got my 929 as some of you may already know. they are fitted with brand new dunlop d616 tires. to look at the tread pattern they don't look as sporty as most super bike tires i see. i was wondering how they will fair on the street doing canyon riding mostly. I read some reviews and people seem to like them but I didn't see anyone with a full sport liter bike reviewing them so i was wondering

They list them as a lower-priced sport tyre so they should work fine.
Try them and if you decide you don't like them, try something different next time.
On a liter-class bike it's not like you have to live with them for very long :-)

Can somebody tell me why it refuses to accept the link to dunlop?

yea i'm not sure about them all that empty space. i havent seen them on any other sportbikes either and a guy at the gas station who said he raced sport bikes was asking about them because he had never seen them either on a sport.

I wouldn't worry about them.
I've raced on all sorts of tyres including touring tyres.

I have them on mine and they work great. I had pilots on it before and honestly on the street you won't have any less traction then pilots once they warm up. The life on the 616 is double that of pilots and qualifiers.

Re: dunlop d616 good tire for my 929?

the tread design really throws you off but from all I have heard they are a solid performing tire and I have never overpowered my rear tire ever to begin with so I think I'm safe with them untill It's time for new ones
