Brake light stays on

i washed my bike and now the brake light stays on.I tried adjusting the rear brake spring switch and still nothing.I noticed when I was doing that water was coming from the inside of the tube where the two wires are.Is this common?

you may have washed trash up inside the tube which would get lodged in there and lock it in place, have to remove and try to tap it out.

Re: Brake light stays on

I had that happen to me but it was because I had adjustable front levers and the spring was going out, as a result the brake light stayed on...

It's magic :-)
I assume you are certain that it was working correctly before you washed it?
Do you mean you removed the switches and didn't re-connect the wires together and the light stays on?
I don't know if the switches are open or closed but if they're open switches (even just one of them) the light would come on when disconnected and off when reconnected.

I called a buddy that I was riding with earlier and he was certain it was working.I came home after the ride and washed off all the bike and went back out later that night, thats when I noticed it wasnt working....I disconnected the rear switch plug and took the wires off of the front switch and its still lit.I did order both front and rear switches but I;m starting to think it my intergrated tail light

Does the light go off if you connect the switch wires together?

Re: Brake light stays on

check your existing switches with a multimeter.
I have just checked the manual and the switches are NO (normally open) contacts and the lever changes the state to closed, therefor...there should be continuity when the lever is pulled in or the rear pedal pressed.

if you release the lever or pedal, there should be no continuity through the switch.

i would also say its something to do with your integrated tail light as if you have disconnected all the switches the light should be off

It's a rare word here but it usually means you've been very naughty or somebody wants you to buy something :-)

Glad you got it worked out.
