Want to re-con a cylinder head - need UK recommendations!

I'd like to buy a second hand head for my 1994 CBR 900 RR-R and have it completely re-conditioned and upgraded.

Cleaned, polished, replace (and upgrade) the valves, guides, shims and have the ports gas-flowed. Maybe even have the Cams re-profiled.

I'm UK based (in the North West) - any recommendations? It doesn't have to be near to where I'm based...

Has anyone done this and is it worth the effort in terms of improved performance? I am already running a decent exhaust (Akrapovic), stock filter and have had stage 1 dyno done which gave me 128hp peak power...

Re: Want to re-con a cylinder head - need UK recommendations!

The power you state seems a bit unreal to me given the mods, but I don't dispute it. Anyway, before spending the dosh, consider the following. Whats the top speed you ride it to? If you use it all, then it seems you need more power, If not, then gear it down and see how it feels. 10% gearing down means (simplistically) that you effectively gain 10% more power at the same speed. Also it might worth considering just changing the carbs to FCR's. I dont know how they compare pricewise, but the stock ones might be the weakest link if you do all this headwork.
