Bostrom in the 1:47s
lap times dropping in the afternoon session

Tuesday, December 09, 2003
Ben Bostrom has lapped Dayonta International Speedway with a lap time of 1:47.861 (Now a 1:47.650) on his Honda CBR1000RR. That time is nearing the motorcycle lap record, set by Nicky Hayden, of 1:47.174.

Hayden did that lap in qualifying for the Daytona 200 in 2002 and used Dunlop qualifying rubber.

Bostrom was in the low 1:48 range since the first laps of testing this morning and has gradually improved his times all day.
