help bike is dying on me!!!

hey all i seem to be having a problem with my blade the problem started today, i turned on the bike and started riding when i noticed the bike sounded funny kinda like it was misfiring, i continued to ride it and noticed when i pull the throttle got no response out of her the idle quickly fell and she died. tried it again this time at my house started her ( no smoke of any kind coming from exhaust) and it did the same thing it ran for about 2 minutes and then died, she wont restart right after but if i wait bout 5 minutes she will start and then the same thing happens. i have no clue where to start? its my first bike any help is greatly appreciated..

Re: help bike is dying on me!!!

It sounds like it could be fuel starvation. As the float bowls empty you lose power till it dies. With a bit of time to refill it'll work again. Check your fuel pump, fuel filter or tank breather. The carbs might refill quicker with a full tank. How full is it?

Re: help bike is dying on me!!!

The petrol tap should have a ON, Off position And a RES.... If you low on fuel try the RES position

Re: help bike is dying on me!!!

It's happened to me a few times when I am riding and my bike starts to miss, then really hesitate, then finally die and I'm thinking "Great, now what", until it dawns on me to switch to reserve. You'd think a guy would learn....
