clutch basket ?

Well I was putting my motor back together today and i snapped a bolt on one of the spring bolts. It is also now stripped my ? is would it be ok to have 4 out of 5 springs and bolts in? Im sure no is gonna be the answer but i figured i'd ask. Im lookin to find another one to buy btw this is the part just in case anyone has one from a 929 or 954 http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...hspringret.jpg

You can put four bolts in no problem, as long as you dont ride it!

That's the clutch hub.
Only way to answer your question is to try it but I doubt it'd work well enough to be able to launch the bike.
Have you considered putting a thread insert in?

what do you mean by thread insert? re threading it with a larger bolt? if so my friend said her has a dye set and could re thread it. it's just a pain gettin the large bolt that holds the basket assembly on. my bud that owns the local bike shop has done it for me a few times but i hate keeping asking him. any ideas to do it?

I meant an insert like a Helicoil but tapping all of them to M8 bolts might be a better idea as it wouldn't alter the balance.
What is so hard about the nut?
Just hold the rear brake on with it in gear.
