that tracks and racing bodies allow on the track, that is good to -20F? I know WW freezes, but I heard there might be an alternative product that all tracks and racing commission accept in place of coolant???

Re: Is there an alternate to Water Wetter...

No. There is no antifreeze that is accepted at all tracks. There is Evans Engine Ice, but it is still slippery and hard to clean up if spilled, and is not accepted by many race and track day organizations.

One racer I know has used Ivory dish soap (don't quote me) as a generic substitute for WatterWetter. No antifreeze qualities, of course.

WatterWetter is a highly refined soap. It reduces the surface tension of the water you put it in, which in turn reduces the size of bubbles that form when it boils. Smaller bubble sizes mean that it makes better, more complete contact with cooling surfaces, so it makes the cooling process more efficient.

Re: Is there an alternate to Water Wetter...

I believe the 'other' antifreeze that is accepted by some organizations is polypropylene glycol based. Regular antifreeze is polyethelyne based.
