Anyone know who makes this underseat setup??

I've had these pictures of this excellent underseat exhaust system for a while now but I can't find who sells the things. It appears they're made by 'Boss' but i can't find any web site or delear. Anyone got any ideas??

Here I am.
Let me try to find some photos of it (I've got a new pc here so I'm not exactly sure where everything ended up) but feel free to ask away.

The first question is how much did it all cost (including the tail unit)?? I've e-mailed them twice but no one has yet bothered to reply. How long did it all take to fit?....was it a complete nightmare?? I also wondered about the noise of the twin underseat pipes because over here in good old Angleterre the police are vicious and will pull you for the slightest thing. So how loud were they compared to say a standard bolt on race pipe??

Cheers.

Re: Anyone know who makes this underseat setup??

Mine cost $1495 (USD), I think. This was about 2.5 years ago. That included the pipes, hardware and an UNPAINTED tail section. The most difficult part of the install was having to remove the cross-brace on the rear of the subframe. This is the part that the pillion seat locks into. The rest is fairly straight forward. Noise. A little bit louder than stock. More of a rumble rather than just more volume. Not as loud as my Hindle and not as loud as a Micron slip-on.
Here is where you need to make a decision....
I was very unhappy with the fit and finish of the whole set-up. For $1500 I was expecting some very high quality stuff. Instead, I had an unfinished fiberglass tail that still needed sanding and body-filler before it could be painted. The finish on the pipes themselves was rough and looked like they had just been removed from the pipe bender. That's a lot of money and effort on top of a already expensive system. To do it right, you'd have to chrome or ceramic coat the pipes and have a bodyshop finish the tail to match your bike.
The plus side is that it did look very cool and will definately set your bike apart from the other 929's out there.

Re: Anyone know who makes this underseat setup??

Are there any other manufacturers of under-seat systems for the 929/954? Since this one lacking in polish and attention to detail, it would be nice if there were something out there that we could feel was worth the $1500

Hindle High-Mount Exhaust
