Big puncture

Riding home and lost the rear, huge puncture that has been plugged now. The front is an BT021 so thinking about a BT016 as money tight this month. Alternative is to stretch to an Avon Sport new set or Contis.

The front tyre/tire is fine, but now that BT02X series can get mixed reviews, only had the bike a week.

So recommendations? 2CT will break the bank...

Re: Big puncture

I am running BT014's, and seeing how everyone who used to run them moved up to BT016's I wouldn't see a problem with that. I take it the 021's are directed to more of the optional track day rider?

Be careful with the plugged tyre, I've heard mixed views about them although getting them plugged from the inside I was told has proved to be a much better way of sealing the puncture.

Re: Big puncture

If it isn't you daily ride put it on the backburner. Motorcycles are a luxury item.

Re: Big puncture

It is a daily ride as my commuter item, no track days yet, I will get a cheaper bike for that!
