air filter?

was wondering if individual air filters do anything to help the performance of my bike (94 900rr) or if i would a k&n filter be better? and what size jets should i go with? it also has a vance & hines muffler and header (im told) the muffler is just an empty shell. thanx in advance for your words of wisdom

I'd keep the airbox and OEM filter.
If you want it to breathe better you want flatslide carbs.
Jet sizes will depend entirely on how the engine is running.

Re: air filter?

keep the airbox imho, but you could get a bmc filter so its cleanable and thus save money in the long term and could help the engine breath better but that also requires exhaust and jetting to be right to get any real benefit...
