929 - ticking noise from 4.5- 5.5 k

As the title says I get a sort of ticking noise between these revs sort of like a reed vibrating, in any gear it does it.

Was just wondering if this is something to worry about ? was thinking maybe CCT or if it does this on all bikes ?

Cheers..

Tony.

I might have noticed the same thing on mine last weekend; no idea what it is I'm afraid. I was wearing ear plugs and wasn't sure if I was hearing things. Maybe I could feel it through the bars too?

I have the same thing on my 929, and my valves were just inspected and within tolerances.

pretty sure it's the CCT, but i'm not sure if it is a big problem or not.

Its not a problem at all until it breaks.... then you need some serious work.

Its a pretty cheap part to replace and should be easily done with the service manual at hand.

Nope...

No, but i'm sure if you were to search another "CBR forum" on the web you could find them. In the 929 section...

Talking about where to find them doesn't qualify as "linking" right? I hope...
