lowering a 929

Okay guys, I'm pretty sure this question has been asked but after an hours search I couldn't find it. My wife wants her 929 lowered so she can stand flat footed on it. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks everybody!

P.S. My parts should be here later this week to put my 1krr back together!!!!

Re: lowering a 929

Well on my 954 I ordered lowering links off ebay and it was too low. I found after a little playing around that if I rotate the triangular pieces that hold the factory link I could get just the height I needed (2 inches lower than stock) and didn't need to buy anything.

Re: lowering a 929

flat footed? how tall is she? honestly first i would try some seat mods or a custom seat.

im very short 5'5" 28 inseam my bike is barely lowered i did 1/2" with a schnitz racing adjustable link so i could raise it for track days. the 929 is such a light bike if she can get the balls of her feet down that should be more than enough. if you go to aggressive with lowering the bike you will start scraping parts easier in turns and that could be bad. not only that but the handling can go to sh!te also if you go to far.

im still on my toes but at least its both sides now

Re: lowering a 929

I tried messing with the triangle, after accidentally raising the bike 2" I took it back apart and flipped it over. It didnt seem to lower it that much from factory. I dont know if thats a difference between the 929 and 954 or if it had already been messed with. Looks like I'm gonna be getting the aftermarket piece.

Re: lowering a 929

master the 1 foot down, 1 foot on the rear brake technique, problem solved. This has worked for me for years and the past couple my bike has been raised slightly in the rear.

if you can't convince them, confuse them.
