954 Fuel problem

Hey guys, how's it going? I have a problem with my 2003 954. It is running real weak & its leaking fuel from the exhaust. Also fuel is getting into the oil. The throttle response is real bad too & there's alot of white smoke coming out the exhaust. Oh yeah one more thing, it sounds like its not running on all 4 pistons. I'm thinking it could be the fuel pressure regulator, TP sensor, or ignition coil but what do I know, thats why I'm writing this post. I appreciate any help any of you can give, thanks.

Fuel pressure regulator.
Pull the vacuum line and see if it's wet.

Re: 954 Fuel problem

Yup, I pulled the vacuum hose from the FPR, and it was dripping fuel. Thanks, I'll let you guys know how it runs after I replace the FPR.

Right on,
Do you have 2 954s?? Is one a race bike only?

Re: 954 Fuel problem

Yeah I changed the FPR & not much change, but I took it back & exchanged it for another one & its running perfect. Cool thanks alot. Yes I have 2 but one is not a race bike, just a beater and a better beater. lol. Anyone know if you can change the pre-programmed bike model on a PCIII usb & how? Keep getting "map incompatible". Would appreciate it, thanks.

It's probably possible but I've no idea how.
You will need to copy the values from the map you're trying to use and paste them into a map for that PC.
What bike-model PC do you have?

Re: 954 Fuel problem

The PCIII is for a Honda CBR 1100 Blackbird. I'm not exactly sure the year but I think around 1999 or 2000. I've been looking online & I came across something saying the same thing (copy & paste) but I'm having a little trouble finding where I seen that. I'll probly just buy the right one. Just thought it might be pretty simple. Well with the right info, it most likely, would be.

As long as the connectors are the same, it should work okay. You'll need to copy the values from the 954 map you want and paste them into any Bird map.
