forks: 929 vs 954

I recently picked up a 929 that I'm putting back together, and it looks like the forks might be a little bit bent... I still need to see for sure, but if they are bent they're getting replaced.

If they are, is there any advantage/disadvantage to going with 954 forks instead? From what I've read they bolt right up no problem.

edit: I posted a picture that certainly makes them look bent, in person I'm not at all sure that they are. This is the pic:

Certainly looks bent in that shot.
I don't think there's any huge improvement in the 954 forks.

I'm wondering because if I can grab either set of forks it's easier to find than if I should look for just one of the kinds.

When forks are bent, don't they tend to bind up when you bounce them? These bounce fine, with no signs of binding.

The forks are not identical so if you want them to look the same replace both, although I think it's only the preload adjuster that is different.
They don't necessarily bind.
If they travel smoothly throughout the full stroke then they'll probably be fine. I would recommend turning the tube so the bend is across the bike instead of along it though otherwise you'll be "steering" when travelling straight ahead.

The plan was to replace both if either is bent enough that I can notice rolling it on a flat table.

Also, suggestions for where to look for forks other than ebay, here, wera?

Ok, half a dozen people agree that in person they don't look bent. That's not to say that there couldn't be some bend in them, just that if there is it's nowhere near as bad as the picture makes it look.

However, the stator I have is bad... looks like I need a new one.
