Mounts for a steering Damper?

Hi guys this is my first post on this forum!

Just picked up this 954 and I was wondering if this bike had a steering damper? If so, are these the mounts? Can I now just pick up any steering damper and throw it on?

Picture attached.

Thanks in advance guys!

That looks like the mount for the Scotts Steering damper. I don't think it works for any of the other dampers out there though. I could be wrong though. It does however look like it is missing the steering stem that goes into the actual damper when it is mounted. Thats what that empty hole is on the braket holding the tank down.
