It's part of the board inside the instrument cluster.

JK, good post
Any god in particular or all of them ;-)

I don't copy them to put them online, just for myself.

Re: 929 954 wiring diagrams

Could anybody tell me if a kawasaki turn relay swap mite be possible onto the 929? Has only two ways, for 929 there are three ways (two exits, one for every side, left and right) In theory i'm thinking mite be posible, but, i'm afraid not to screw the rest of the diagram.

I don't see how it could hurt as long as it was a 12volt bike.

Re: 929 954 wiring diagrams

I'm not much of a specialist, but, the swap sounded easy. Even the relays socket is the same, only that the kawa relay misses one pin. So the solution was to conect left and right from the main harness. Not being a specialis an' al, connecting those two wires i'm afraid not to close or open another circuits.....being all so interconected.......

Re: 929 954 wiring diagrams

yeah honda uses three wires (one for running light, one for blinker power, and a ground) other manufactures have two wire blinkers and either don't have running lights or the blinker relay (or blinker switch it's self) is set up to cut power to the constant and allow the blinker relay to power the one wire going to the blinker.

The 929 relay has 3 "pins" I assume you mean?
One pin is +12v
one pin is 0v
the last pin (grey wire) is the flashing output.

if you're replacing with a 2 pin relay it will need to be inbetween the +12v and flashing output wire , the grey one.

No, don't connect left and right sides together. if you're lucky the Kawa relay will plug in and the missing pin does not matter , it's just the earth pin which isn't needed with an electronic relay.

We solved this on the other thread Mollari... you said the US bikes have running lights (three wires) and UK bikes don't (two wires)

Nope relays need grounds... they have four wires going to them:
1. the constant input (+)
2. the controlled output (+)
3. the relay control lead (usually a power wire from a switch telling to to go on or off... or you can just bridge it with #1 and control the relay with #4)
4. The earth ground

Re: 929 954 wiring diagrams

Yep, so you have the intergrated power for the relay off the 12volt wire it's controlling (its a 3.4watt controller)... Basically #3 in my previous post is intergrated inside the relay.

Anyway... so those three plugs are:
1. the constant input (+)
2. the controlled output (+)
3. The earth ground (which is the controller of the relay)

To find out which is which just do a google search

GL!

Re: 929 954 wiring diagrams

Another version................

So i'll tell you what a friend of mine explained to me:
The 929 relay has 3 ways because one is the "in" signal and the other two are one for the left side blinkers and the other for the rifht side blinkers. Now....the kawa (zx9, from the bike i had before 929) has only two because one is the "in" signal and the other is for the whole lot of blinkers (left and right). Olso said that the 3 way pin relay is a much better system, being so hazard warning lights/emergency lights/four-way flashes ready, the kawa relay cannot sustain emergency lights with that two way system.

..........so MattCBR, what should i do, plug it like that, or conect what to what??
Please explain it to me like you would do to a child, paint jobs and electrics are not my area of expertise...

Hazard lights on a bike?
I wouldn't bother, bikes don't have enough battery capacity to run four indicators for very long.
