my 929 from 2000

helloo people. my name is Alex,i am from Romania.
I have a question for you.A few days ago,i buy a 929 honda.its ok the engine sounds great,but i see a little problem:rpm varies from 1300 rpm to 1500 rpm.
my question is why?what's the problem? is due to spark plug, may be more serious problems?
my English is not so good and I hope you understand me.

thanks and waiting for your answer.

Possibly air leaks around the intake manifolds or needs throttle body synchronisation.
I would do all the other maintenance first though to rule all of that out - air and fuel filters, oil and filter and spark plugs. I'd also check valve clearances while you're in there doing the plugs.
It's also worth checking the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator is dry as they do fail.
Also check your battery voltage with the engine running as stators fail.
And check that the HTEV exhaust valve is correctly positioned either up, down or forward and not somewhere in between.

Any good semi-synthetic motorcycle oil will be fine.

Have you run power directly to the fan to confirm it does actually work?

Wow, spark plugs are expensive overthere. my idle jumps around a little too, especially when I turn up the idle to 3,000rpms for stunting. It doesn't effect my riding at all.
