Video Track Night, chasing a S1000RR

hey guys,
another weekend, another trackie just in love with the weather here now
Onboard video with my ZX-6, trying to chase down a tuned BMW S1000RR.
U can see the brutal power of that bike on the straight. Sublime.
Middle of session 2 my chain snapped... lesson learnt, change your DID 520 more regularly
Took the BMW for the 3rd session, unbelievable... speechless.

Here a short footage of tonite's entertainment.
Herewith I want to wish you all a happy new year! Have a blast...

no worries about the chain, we will fit a new one on sunday. Glad it happened, so I could fire the S1000RR around the circuit

The guy on the BMW was not very good at all, you were holding some really good corner spped and lines, nice. But man the raw brutal power the BMW has in the straights, he shot out like a rocket.

Re: Video Track Night, chasing a S1000RR

Hey Duke, silly question, but are you using a rivet style master link on your chain or a clip style...I never broke a DID xring 520....not even on my dirtbike(use the same chain). Still a sick vid as always bro, and Happy New Year to you too.........Love the sign, here's a pick of one I took at the border of Jordan.

Re: Video Track Night, chasing a S1000RR

Its not about the bike! Its all about the rider

Buddy used to win races on a 110hp completely built Yamaha R6.. against 170+hp Liter bikes.
Seriously all about rider.

Eitherway good vid

Hey jazzy.
This BMW is a beautiful bike. Race gear box, quickshifter perfectly set-up, as it is stock on the bike, (you feel the difference to a Dynojet one), full Ohlins front and rear, 187WHP, its just a rocket.
Nevertheless, I love the Blade, its in my opinion the easiest litre bike to handle in corners, so easy to quick turn.

The rider on the BMW is very quick normally, but the track conditions were very difficult. 10 degrees C, lots of sand, so he took it easy...

chain was linked with the rivet style master link. I really was astonished as well when I looked at my rear wheel and didnt see a chain anymore...

How can you feel the difference to a dynojet one?? I am not sure on how the BMW one is any different other then it is stock.

You can change the ignition kill times for the dynojet one..

Re: Video Track Night, chasing a S1000RR

Sick. The beemer is a wicked bike. Still has a little bit of refinement, but major potential. Hats off to BMW for their first creation into the super-bike arena. Maybe someday I will get to take one for a spin. I don't think I would ever own one though, not my particular cup of tea.
