Problem with my bike =(

New to the forum posting, do alot of forum reading mostly so thanks to everyone who gives my post attention I really appreciate all help.

So here is my problem,
I have a 01' 929rr with approx 25k mi. Left bike stored for 7mo. deployment back in May. Wasn't started, ran or anything during that time. Came back this last December, replaced the battery, put some fresh fuel in it, started up right away. Went on a test run and I had issues. When I accelerate hard on the throttle it spudders in all gears and literally will not pick up any speed or acceleration, pretty much just jerks me back and forth like it wants to go but just doesn't go at all. But when I give it very little throttle it doesn't spudder and accelerates respectively to the little throttle i've applied. I've been riding it back and forth to work for about a week and a half now and it hasn't gotten any better. In fact it takes a moment now to start up. It won't even start on the first go. I have to sit there for a moment and try a few times before it starts up.

Haven't had the chance to tear into it yet, I'll be investigating physically this Saturday. But I want to get an idea of where to troubleshoot before I dig in. I've read around the forums and haven't found any related information. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough but I leave this post to anyone who can shed some light for me. I love my 929 and I want to ride it like it was ment to be ridden. Thanks to readers and responders in advance.

Re: Problem with my bike =(

I would also have to say clogged injectors. The fuel now a days with the additives and ethonal doesn't do so well if it sits for a while. You may have to bring it to someone (if you can't do it yourself) and have them cleaned.

Also, if the bike is going to sit for a while, I'd suggest putting some Sta-bil in the tank, taking it for a good long ride before putting it away. This may prevent things getting gummed up.

Good luck with it.

Re: Problem with my bike =(

Mix injector cleaner into your fuel.
Check your fuel pressure regulator. (vac line, left side, must be dry)
Replace your plugs.

Enjoy!

Re: Problem with my bike =(

Also check all electrical connections, you say you changed the battery, just make sure all connects are in and tight.

Re: Problem with my bike =(

I've always been told to use injector cleaner sparingly in bikes as it could damage the injectors. I'm not positive on this so maybe someone else can weigh in here.

My advice would be to add only what they recommend n the label per gallon.

Re: Problem with my bike =(

try new plugs. when you pull the old ones out check very carefully for carbon tracking or any tears in the plug boot.

Re: Problem with my bike =(

if you have had your bike stored up id check the FPR first, they are notorious for going bad if the bike sits still for long.

Re: Problem with my bike =(

**UPDATE**

Dug into my bike last night and finished up this morning. Turns out the fuel line was twisted once over causing a V shape pinch, thus no fuel to my bike! Unscrewed the line, untwisted it and rescrewed back in place. Checked the plugs, cleaned em up, ran some injector cleaner. Bike fires up and runs great again. Easy day..thanks for the replies. I can ride again
