Lost cbr 929 key

just as the title says so i called honda and ordered a blank key should be a few days before i get it but the guy said i need the ignition key number. Where can i find that at?

Under the ignition switch... Not sure about the 929, but usualy, there is some safety screw that you have to remove to see that number.

you can also take off ur tank lock or tail lock and take it to a lock smith to make a key for it

The ignition usually has more tumblers than the other locks.

Just remove your upper triple tree with ignition still connected.The number should be stamped on back of ignition.

Actually, I'd say it's more work to remove the fuel cap or tail lock. Just take the upper clamp off. No point in using one of the other locks to cut a key if the key isn't going to work in the ignition anyway.
