Was I being bullshi**ed?

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I bought my first Blade two days ago,a '98 parallel import,UK spec. My Mrs has the same bike,a genuine UK bike. The engine in hers is 918. When I bought mine, the guy told me it was a 919 (to be honest I didn't care as I was all googley eyed over it anyway by then). My last bike was a Hornet 900,or 919 as I think is known as in the US,so I didn't consider what he was telling me was an impossibility. The thing is, I want to replace the plugs with NGK Iridiums and I need to know if they are the same as my Mrs bike. Could my bike really have the 919 lump or has this guy done a Jedi mind trick on me?
Any info would be appreciated.
Regards
Steve

Unless he specifically meant a 919 Hornet engine has been put in then the engines are the same - and so are the plugs.
I checked and the iridiums are CR8EHIX-9 for the 919 and CR9EHIX-9 for the 900RR.

Thanks mate. I take it I was either Jedi'd or he didn't know what he was talking about.

Some people, particularly Europeans like to refer to the late 900RR as a 918 or 919. Wasn't a problem until Honda released an actual 919 :-)
