New Bike and rider! any advice?

I am looking to buy a Honda CBR 929rr erion racing edition. This will be my first road bike and am looking for any input about the bike or just about riding in general. Also any problems to watch out for with that specific model!
Thanks

Welcome.
Maybe Im getting this wrong but why would you want a racing bike for the road never mind as a first bike?

Re: New Bike and rider! any advice?

I'm assuming you already know how to ride so just respect the bike and the power and things should be good. Helmet, gloves, leather and boots... ATGATT!

Ah ok, well I know your not going to like this but Id start off on something smaller, even a 600 can hit over a ton in seconds, going on to over 155 mph.
So you can imagine what your thinking off is capable?

If you go for it good luck, hope you stay safe

The Erion is just like a Repsol edition I think, just a paint job and perhaps an exhaust.

The bike you feel good on is the most important but thr bike you have choosen is not very forgiving if you make a mistake.
Maybe it is a great bike for you but I have seen first hand what happens when you underestimate that bike.

Re: New Bike and rider! any advice?

I started riding with my 1000RR, don't let anybody discourage you, your the only one who can make it work, or get yourself in trouble. The bike can outperform even your wildest dreams so do yourself a favor and dont explore those limits. The toughes thing about the big bikes is probably the throttle response, be very careful on bumps and around corners, as you will find out the bike will need very little throttle input to accelerate. Enjoy and take it slow
