115mph in a 65mph boo

Well I usually don't speed but I just put a jet kit in my 95 CBR900rr over the weekend and was going to work "testing" how she pulled above 8,000rpm's and got pulled over by a motorcycle cop, that sucked atleast I didn't go to jail, he was late for role call.....

Sounds like you need to find a track.
Much less risky on the wallet and free time.

Re: 115mph in a 65mph boo

You could have easily spent the next few months picking soap up in the shower for 50 over the limit.

Lucky escape really !!!

Re: 115mph in a 65mph boo

Not sure if we have Criminal Speeding in TX, but I doubt an offense like that is eligible for defensive driving or deferred adjudification. Points plus mucho $$$$

Not sure, but I consider that stupid, irresponsible, moronic, squidish, immature, etc...

Of course I am only addrssing the situation and not you.

Re: 115mph in a 65mph boo

It's going to cost $302.00 but the lashing from my wife was much worse... And yes it was very irresponsible.

Re: 115mph in a 65mph boo

TBF $302 is a result for that speed.

Over here that would have probably got you 3 months of man love, a 2 year ban and your bike crushed !!

Don't feel bad. Nascar driver Kyle Bush just got caught doing 128mph in a 45mph zone. Ouch Don't get caught

For sure i was caught 95 in a 65 so mine was 300. And the cop was letting me slide cas he could have easily put it down for reckless driving. And to top it i went to a ticket buster place. and they told me good thing i wasnt doing a 100 cas they could have impounded my bike and did some jail time

Re: 115mph in a 65mph boo

Yeah. In relation that other cop thread...most are really pretty decent.

In my younger (read dumber) years I was stopped doing 110 in a 55 on the expressway in Detroit. I was on my way home on military leave with papers. I think he would have let me off with a warning but he had already called in a pursuit backup. He wrote the ticket for 75 (20 over) and sent me on my way! At the time that was a whopping $75 fine. In hind sight he really did me a favor.

Not to threadjack, but i heard Lexus put him up to it as PR stunt for the meager LFA sales. I love a good conspiracy theory.

And to contribute, just be glad you didn't have an accident at that speed, OP. I know we all enjoy a blast, but pulling the reins in is never bad. Just take it as a lesson learned and another day to look forward to.
