Missfire 1 and 4 Cylinders

Just did a full build on my 2001 cbr 929 ran ok took the air box flapper out and opens exhaust valve ran great for bout 5 min then started missing on 1 and 4 i swaped several coils cleaned plugs and i know the injectors are working can see them pulsin with throttle open any ideas???

I've screwed this up in the past on my FZR... Check and make sure your coils wires are connected to the correct side.

Seems like something foolish, but no matter how many coils you swap, if you connect the coils the same way each time (backwards) you will end up with the same result.

Fuel pressure regulator. It's connected to throttle bodies 1&4 for vaccuum. It it goes bad it'll leak gas into the throttle bodies and cause a 1&4 misfire. To confirm, pull the little vacuum lines from the throttle bodies or the regulator and see if the insides are wet (after running for a bit). If they are, you need a new FPR.

That Sounds like a good idea Is the fpr at the end of the fuel rail????

also i have a brand new power commander if i plug that in will it eliminate the original pcm so i can eleminate that as a problem

srobinson thanks a ton man I had an extra carb setup switched it up and fixed it runs perfect it was flooding out 1 and 4 thanks again man
