Honda OEM Oil Filter

Does anyone know the correct oem honda oil filter part number for a 2001 929rr? I have a full hindle exhaust and theres not much room for any other filters size wise.

Im not able to read any specs on mine but it looks like the product below. Im just not sure if theres a few different lengths as theres different model numbers.

Re: Honda OEM Oil Filter

Honda part number is 15401-MCJ-D01. Fram 6017A will work and is about half the price of the Honda filter.

If you want an oil filter that is easy to install and remove then get a K and N 204 oil filter. It has a 17mm nut on the end of the filter for easy installation and removal.

Backdoc, i came up with nothing trying to google that part number. As for the k and n, i dont think it will work. Theres not even enough room for the nut to clear the pipes. Ill have to take a picture tomorrow and show you

Are you sure the current filter on your bike is the right size? The oil filter will not come out the front even on a stock header. The filter must be loosen then taken out the side between the header and the engine. If your header is so close that the k and n filter will not fit then you will have to remove the exhaust each time to change the oil. If the current oil filter can be taken off your bike without removing the header then the k and n should work.

Re: Honda OEM Oil Filter

Backdoc thats right. I actually need to losen the exhaust and dip it down a bit to get the filter off. With the filter on right now, i basically have the width of a penil if that, of clearance from the filter to the pipes.
