Boot decision

Hi fellow bladers, just a quick question about motorcycle boots,
At the moment i have a pair of Sidi Vertigo boots which are looking a bit tatty but fit me perfectly, ive got my eye on a pair of Puma Hypersport 1000v, which are very eye catching, but the problem im having is getting boots to fit my calves when i have my leathers on, i do like the Sidi's but i fancy a change, today im off to try some Puma's and alpinestar smx plus boots on, ive tried Dianese and TCX/Oxtar, but i have trouble doing up the zip, so who owns the Puma and Alpines and what are your thoughts on them, any feed back would be greatly appreciated, cheers

Re: Boot decision

I have A* boots, they are something like 5 years old, done tens of thousands of miles and are still waterproof. Can't complain.

Re: Boot decision

Don't know since youask specifically for the two companies - but I have Gaerne boots and I usually stick the leather between the soft inside (zipper) part and the harder outer shell which have the clips.

Re: Boot decision

beat me to it Des

Like you bek, I wear Sidi Vertigo. Been good boots.

Don't try and fix what isn't broken maybe ??

Good luck in your retail therapy, always nice to treat yourself.

Re: Boot decision

Question for the Sidi wearers out there. I've read on other forums that the soles on the Vertigo's just don't last. Some have holes from the foot pegs in less than 12 track days. I'm looking at the Vertigo or ST Air. Can anyone comment on your experience with sole durability?
