954 fireblade failed mot test because of headlight pattern, what should it be like??

I took the bike to mot last night and after paying 22 for the examiner to walk round it and poke at things he failed me for no pattern in the headlight as just a round patch of light slightly longer at the top theres no definative line that turns up at 1 side

Thats the sort of shape the dipped headlight is putting out when i put it a few feet from the wall bulbs seems to be correctly fitted any ideas?? cheers

No idea what you mean by pattern.
The low beams should hit a wall no higher than a horizontal line from the bike when you are seated on it. The beams should also point away from oncoming traffic, to the left in the UK.
