Getting exhaust off with radiator?

Am I able to take off my headers with the radiator still mounted? I can get to the first manifold bolts, but the rest seem impossible to get to with the radiator in the way. Any one have any advice?

BTW 2002 CBR 954

Also, do I have to take off the rear cowl to completely remove the gas tank from the sub frame?

Re: Getting exhaust off with radiator?

You can remove the lower rad mount bolt?

We usually remove a bolt, and somebody holds the rad back an extra half an inch.

Re: Getting exhaust off with radiator?

Even with that fan on the left side in the way? I dont think a mere half of an inch is going to help

Re: Getting exhaust off with radiator?

I have only dealt with a 99 CBR900RR, an 09 Yamaha R6(mine) and a 09 Yamaha R1.. It works for all of them..

Re: Getting exhaust off with radiator?

MY 06 blade required me to remove both the upper and lower radiator mounts and the fan from the radiator. THen you should have a couple inches of play, just watch your knuckles.
