02 954 won't start

Have fuel. Have injector pulse. Spark is there, but it doesnt "spark,spark,spark" when turning over. It sparks and then a few seconds later sparks again. I have bypassed the tip over sensor. HELP PLEASE GUYS!!

Tell us some more!

What is the history, its was working them what?

Check out the plug gaps is it sparking like this at all cyclinders?

Have you got good battery voltage?

Battery hooked up to jumper cables and a car. The bike was driven to NC last year then parked. Sat over winter and now no start. Yes the spark is like this on all 4 coils. I think it is the pulse generator, but not sure where it is or how to test it.

get some 'easy start' ether based fuel in a can;

see Starting Aids :: Repair & Maintenance :: Holts Auto

Take the tank off and squirt a bit in each carb. If its firing OK it will start for a bit on this. If you get no go, then you definatly have an igniction problem.

Make sure you have good plugs with corect gaps to start with.

If still no go, then you may well be correct, it will be either the pick up sensor, the ignitor or some wiring fault in between. but try the easy stuff first before ripping all to bits!

put some starter fluid down it already with brand new plugs and gap was correct. it still would not start. i just bought a ecm to see if thats what it is.
