Ignition switch worn on 929, can I bypass?
Bikes a 929, getting on a bit now. The key will turn to ign but needs a bit of jiggling. The key is worn and so is the barrel, but new ones are expensive. Yesterday she cut out on me twice I think because the key was moving and turned the switch off. Hope this makes sense! Sometimes I have to jiggle the key when I turn it on before the fuel pump and stuff starts. Hiss seems fine, I don't want to get rid of it, but can I bypass using the key in the ignition with an independant switch? I've looked on the wiring diagram and it seems straight forward but has anyone done this? Also I don't want to lose the Hiss.
Thanks for any experiences!
