954 won't start

02 954 is not starting....fuel pump is not priming and my headlights aren't working either.... I was riding the bike earlier with no problems starting it.... I had this problem before but it started working again after I tinkered around a little bit..... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

Re: 954 won't start

Check the 30 amp fuse, or look for a lose/broken connection inside the right side switch housing.

Right by your battery, its part of the starter relay.

Re: 954 won't start

Any lights on dashboard? Any error codes? Get a haynes manual or equivalent and check your all relays and wiring... Any chance you can hook up ECM from working bike?

Re: 954 won't start

What kind of tinkering did you do before to remedy this problem?

The cluster lights up fine, no error codes... Imma prolly end up stripping the bike down and see where the headlight wiring meets with the engine stop switch wiring (((

Last time this happened was right after I installed my gear shift indicator, so I had the gas tank up and plastics off.... So I was just messin with random wires and plugging and unplugging things.... What fixed it last time was I pushed the engine start button and gave the bike gas and reved it up and then it was working after that.... Unfortunately that is not helping this time
