trying to remove the gauge cluster on my '06 CBR1000RR; it looks like I just need to pull the windscreen off..is it that easy? any other disassembly involved to completely remove the cluster from the bike?

Re: gauge cluster removal?

ok, got it off, it was kind a of a bitch because of all the little interlocking tabs, but all in all its not to bad; you don't even have to pull it all the way off (if you're just trying to get to the gauge cluster mounting screws)

Re: gauge cluster removal?

alright, its not to bad, but you do have to pull the nose fairing off a pretty good ways, which is kind of a bitch because of the way the interlocking tabs connect the mid cowl to the nose fairing...all in all though, not tooooo bad

Re: gauge cluster removal?

the bike was from Florida, and there were salt stains on the upper case and it was pissing me off; I tried everything to get them off, but they wouldn't, so I said f**k it and bought a new upper case for it; I got tired of having to look through the stains; so thats why I needed to pull it off...to change the upper case out
