898 base with 919 head and carbs?

hi all. i bought a used 1994 cbr900 and on my engine i have a serial number starting with sc28-220... that would be a 898cc. BUT on the head it i stamped 919 and i have carbs with a tps and speed sensor on sprocket cover. it does have a magnesium valve cover. both my side engine covers are from 919 version. clutch side with window and stator cover has the 919 desing to it. i thought engine parts from these engines were NOT interchangeable? anyone has the same setup?

I would expect the head and carbs to be interchangeable.
Don't know about the engine covers but it's quite likely.
