954 fuel pump

The fuel pump quit coming on when the key is turned on and switch is in run position. There is no fuse. I've checked the run/stop switch, tilt switch. Anyone know how to check the relay or the pump itself?

Any info appreciated.

Connect 12V power directly to the pump connector.
It it still doesn't run then probe the wires where they enter the pump.
If there's still nothing then you will have to remove the pump to apply power directly to the pump.
If it still doesn't work then you need a new pump.

Re: 954 fuel pump

I forgot to ask the obvious.
The engine does turn over just fine?

Re: 954 fuel pump

Yes, it does turn over. Is it possible that the relay is bad or the tilt sensor? Thanks

Sure it's possible.
If the pump works when you apply power to it then you'll have to work back through the circuit to the battery until you find where the power is stopping.
