2000 929rr wont start

Looking for some tips or avenes to try, I have a 929rr and I cannot get the fuel pump to come on. I have replaced the fuel pump itself not the assembly. The Fuel relay will not click anymore It did and I have tested the relay itself and its good. Its currently receving @1 volt when the run switch is placed to on. THe fuel cut relay also works fine I have bypassed my run stop switch still only receving 1 volt and the pump relay. I took it to honda and was told i need a new bank angle (tilt) switch and a new fuel pump assembly. I got the bike back today went to a stunt fourm and bypassed the bank switch completly and still nothing, both fuel pumps the one removed and the new one work fine when put to a battery. I have tryed making a additional ground and I still get no where. I orginally had a code 19 when powering the bike on Ign switch. Had a loose wire on the pulse generator which i have corrected and cleared that code and no longer recieve it. Any one can give me what to try next. Im thinkin ECU but the bike ran fine before the tank was repainted and I did a clutch and a valve clearance check. Thanks Ken

Im having the same issue with my 03 954. i took the tank off and had it repainted now after putting it back on the fuel pump wont work. It blows the fuse as soon as the key is turned on everytime. i also noticed there is a black/white wire that runs across the battery and plugs in, this wire was smoking today when i tried to crank it. any help on this would be great.

Did you have dents in your tank when you had it painted? I did and after talking to a few guys im pretty sure thats why my entire assy is bad. A guy who knows a little about body work was telling me when they pulled the dents they more than likely used a tool that welded a rod on the dented part to pull it out, I didnt know any better and left my fuel pump assembly attached when I took it to a local Chevy dealer body shop to have the dents pulled and a nice paint job put on it, Dont know if It will help you any or not, I did order a new assembly off ebay and it wasnt too bad about 150 but lesson learned for me.
