2000 xr 650 electric start

i have a 2000 model xr 650r, with only kick start and looking to fit an electric start on it. Have done some research and only found a couple starter kits but i wouldnt get much change out of a grand. was suggested to me that atv uses the same motor so i could find a wreck and scavenge the electric start off it or i anyone knows where or how i could get a cheeper setup.

Does it have provision on the crankcase to mount the starter motor?

There would need to be a couple of mounting faces with holes to bolt the starter motor to the engine and a hole for the starter motor shaft to fit into the engine to engage the starter clutch.
How do the $1000 starter kits mount to the engine?
Do you have a link I can check out?

I wouldn't have thought that was too bad with all new parts.
Just the starter motor is nearly US$400 and about the same for the starter clutch.
Is there an electric start version of your model?
I checked the 2000 650L and 650R and the engines are very different so I doubt the parts swap across.
Would it be cheaper to simply sell yours and buy an electric start one?
