2002 Naked 954 - one owner, never damaged - ATL

This is a naked 2002 CBR954RR I bought new in December 2002. I stripped it down a few years ago just because I felt all the plastic was unnecessary on the street. It hasn't been on the scale, but the pile of suff I took off(which I still have) weighed over 20 pounds not including the exhaust which should be a good 10 pounds lighter than stock. Add what I put back on, and I bet it's still 20 pounds lighter than stock.

It's in near perfect shape and has never been stunted (not even a wheelie), drop, abused, raced, or any of that stuff. It has 7000 miles on it and I've never even had to adjust the chain. It's light, agile, torquey, and just plain 'ol fun to ride. A new wife, baby, too many bikes, and no time to ride force this sale.

Here's what she has:
- .95 springs + GSXR valving from Traxxion
- Penske double
- M4 full system w/ cut can -- kinda loud but not obnoxious
- Sprint top mount damper
- Speigler front lines & speed bleeders
- PCIII w/custom map by Marietta Motorsports -- in pics
- Fresh oil & filter immediately after tune (about 500 miles ago)
- Maybe 600 miles on Pilot Powers
- Sargent seat w/ rear cover
- Short turn signals - very bright w/correct flash rate -
- Buell headlight w/ chopped up KTM number plate for fly screen
- Custom gauge bracket
- VFR shifter to make it GP -- have the OEM stuff to switch back
- Tank painted black
- Battery last year
- CRG mirrors
- One tooth down on the front sprocket

That's all I can think of right now. It has a chip in the tank from where I dropped a wrench on it the day it got back from paint, and a small crack on th bottom right of the tail where my Ex accidentally kicked it while getting on. It may have a couple tiny, tiny stone chips from riding.

I still have all the OEM parts (maybe missing a bolt here & there) to put it back to stock, and I didn't cut anything that would keep that from happening. The mids and upper have some scuffs because my beautiful new wife was kind enough to put them in the attic for me. Bike parts don't pass for decoration like they did in my bachelor life.

I have a ton of money in this, and don't want or have to sell it but really should because it's just sitting. I would entertain some interesting trade offers for SV650 or LW Ducati race bikes, or Jeep / Muscle / Hot Rod....

bike looks very clean! I like the idea, haven't seen a nice naked 954 before! I wonder if you could make a custom air intake to look sleeker.

Nice bike!

Thanks!

Would also trade for a two up street bike for wifey and I to ride. Something along the lines of a newer Bonneville, but no big tourers.

Nice bike!
I bet someone makes those intakes in carbon. How sweet would that be? Great bike, wish I could swing it.

Thanks. I'd love to keep it, but I can't justify it.

Open to trades & offers. Don't want to Craigslist or Fleabay it.

Re: 2002 Naked 954 - one owner, never damaged - ATL

Question - Is that the stock upper triple clamp that you mounted the bar riser to - and if so did you drill or weld and what risers did you use?

Many thanks,

dogger

It's a drilled stock upper with clamps from Freestyle Ingenuity (I think)

Wow!!! Thanks for the quick response.

I also forgot to ask what you used (i.e. what bike model did you used) for the throttle cable, brake line, clutch, cables, switches, etc.

I am hope to buy a crashed 954 this weekend and want to bring it back to life as a monster street fighter ASAP.

Again many thanks,

Barry

Bump for nice bike

Wish you were closer, we could have swapped the bikes.
I & bike both are in Indiana zip=47201
Here is what I have:
03 SV1000s (just don't have raised bars like yours)
mods:
PC III USB power commander
K&N air & oil filter
Slipper clutch
SS steel braided brake lines
M4 full system high mount - but still room for passenger pegs
Battery tender harness
DID gold chain
swingarm spools & rear stand
Crash guard spools,
GSXR-750 rims (for lesser weight thus less gyroscopic effect)
GSXR-1000 Rear Shock for more adjustability, currently set at 180 LBS.
Pilot powers 95% thread
Fender eliminator
Integrated Tail lights
Its Color is Silver & has a hydraulic clutch. Also has a full service manual.
Clean clear title in hand
Don't rem anything else.
Sorry, don't want to highjack your thread...but someone may benefit.
Just the economy is bad & can't afford shipping costs. I was looking for a Big 4 to be swapped without a lot of expense, this bike is big for me.

Good luck with the sale !
