Re: Jafrum dot com...

Since we have a Jafrum-specific thread I'll add something.
They are _serious_ spammers which gives useful insight into their business ethics in my opinion. If they're happy to sponge off of the owners of private forums rather than pay for their advertising why would they have any qualms about screwing over their customers.
Not the usual spam bots either. These guys join and post fairly benign posts, often in support of another member's comment and either include a link or they come back later and edit the links in so the spam never comes to the top of the "New Posts" search. Since the comments have the appearance of a useful contribution I sometimes just edit out the links and leave the post. Then I just keep checking, and within 24-36 hours they've come back and edited the link back in - then I nuke their arse.
I will message the Admins to see if it's possible to simply exclude the name entirely, but I think we'd then be unable to have these useful discussions that hopefully go some way to returning the favour in destroying their online credibility.

Re: Jafrum dot com...

In the end, they released my money tied up in Paypal, for 2 weeks and I received everything I had ordered, in two separate shipping and billings. It was a nightmare, and I will be a Motorcycle Superstore customer from now on. lied to me, held packages for extended periods without even an explanation why or even caring if they retained me as a customer. I do not recommend using them as a vendor, nor will I purchase from them again.

Re: Jafrum dot com...

Wow, what a fiasco. I don't know what it is lately but I have had three similar situations in the past six months. Two instances of partial orders with the remainder on back order and getting the royal run around and one order with the seller just plain disappearing. At first I tried to get a refund through paypal but after receiving a email stating that they were going to give the seller a little more time to get the order through I had an idea cross my mind. So I called the credit card company and disputed the charge. Talk about a attitude change all the way around. I did this with all three BS situations and it straitened them out right now. I am not kidding, I got emails from the sellers and paypal with in an hour. One instance I got my refund then received the remainder of the order a few weeks later, which I did return to them.

Sounds like you are sticking to your guns. Good luck to ya!

Ok, there is a tracking number but it is "Shipping info received" from Fedex. That means that it 's still sitting on the dock 24 hours later. I sent message asking to release the paypal funds, and they replied with first the standard auto response. then Viola sent a message with no subject or body. I responded asking if the reply was supposed to be blank or what. They are pretty worthless.

They have. But the tracking number that is now on the order says I get it monday. I won't buy from them again.

Jafrum dot com...

In the past I've done business every spring for a couple hundred bucks. After becoming a Sportbiker/Fireblader I needed two full sets of gear for my son and I. He's 17 and you've seen the threads about it. Anyway, I got online and ordered two Scorpion helmets, two Joe Rocket jackets, and Joe Rocket gloves. That's just under $350 - $400 area. Well, the one color of glove I wanted was back ordered and they emailed me to let me know. So, I switched to the black and grey same model, same price. I replied by email and received a reply that it was all in stock and would be shipped out same day. waited 4 days and checked the status since I almost always get my stuff in like 3 to 4 days. I noticed that is was still pending, and the price of a set of gloves higher than the original order. Of course the black/back ordered gloves were still on the order. So, I called. Everything went well on the phone, except Janell did not seem to care if my order went out or not. I explained that Motorcycle superstore had the same glove for $19 less, same price on the helmets and the same price on the jackets. She said, "Do you want me to cancel the order?" I said, "actually I wanted you to send it when the person who emailed me said they would." Then she asked is I still wanted the black/back ordered gloves since they had an ETA of about 6 days. I said no I wanted the stuff shipped as soon as possible because I had grown accustomed to receiving the orders fast every year for the last 7 or 8 years I had done business with them without issue. She said that the person that had emailed me had been out with a "death in the family" and this is why they had left me business undone. So, She cancelled the back ordered gloves and promised to ship same day, and make an exception because the brown truck had already ran. This whole time the money was sitting in a "pendng" status in paypal. So, Two days later I check, and the back ordered gloves are off the order but it's still pending, and money is still "pending" in paypal. So, My curiosity gets me and I call back. This time Janell is not there, and Jamill is happy to help me, and is very apologetic because the order is still "pending" and has not been shipped. I asked where Janell was and why she had not done as she promised? Well, as soon as I got off the phone and she completed correcting the order one of her family members had past away. I'm thing that I may be the issue that is cause these sudden unexpected family deaths. Then I found that all Janell had done is change the price for the back ordered to $0 and the order was still on hold for Back ordered item. Apologizing profusely Jamill said it was to late to get them sent out the same day but she would personally take the order to shipping and get it out first thing ensure that Brown comes special to get it. So, I would describe my disposition as annoyed but still workable. the second day the order and money were both still "Pending". I called an nearly snapped after Viola told me that Jamill was unable to complete the promised work because.... Wait for it.. Waiiit for it.. Sudden Death in the family. Now, I call BS. And ask for the order to be cancelled because of the BS and disappointment. Also, the $40 money saving at Motorcycle Supercenter would have been nice as well. Then I fell for it.. After, Viola cancelled the order she talked me into reordering the stuff, but the money in Paypal would not be available.. I like an idiot did it. Two days later the order was "Partially fullfilled" and there was an order at my house. Yep, you guessed it... 2 pair of over priced gloves, ONLY! Today I called to find out that no ones family member had died but the remaining item were on hold. I asked are the items there at your warehouse? yes, but the helmets are at a different warehouse and the shipping would take about 2 extra days. This is once they are actually handed to the guy in the brown button up, brown shorts, and brown shoes and socks. But they were still on hold. I ask the dumbest question, "Why?". To get the reply, "I don't know." Then I asked, "Can you get them all shipped, today?", "Yes", "Then how about doing that". "Ok, can you hold? I have to ask my boss to take them off hold." I asked, "is this a problem? since you have twice the amount of the order tied up right now, and seem to have no intention of actually letting me get the gear I've now paid twice for." I went to hold for about 20 minutes. She Said it is being shipped now. I asked is it on the truck or, on the dock? she said, "I don't know".. No further usefulness would have can from continuing. So, I said, thank you and hung up. I may have felt better if I belittled that person for 20 or 30 minutes, but I figured it was a waste of time. If the stuff still shows, "Partially Fulfilled" tomorrow. I call and tell them that they need to release both sets of funds, send me a return shipping label for the gloves, and cancel the order. I will be a Motorcycle Superstore customer. I will let you know what goes down tomorrow. Thanks for listening to me vent/rant. my Jafrum recommendations are currently on hold.
