Re: Inner bar weights Ok managed to do it and the 929 looks great. Only missing mirrors now. If it didn't have Cat C in hte log book you'd never know it'd been down. |

Re: Inner bar weights Ok so far no luck. Can't remove the allen bolts to get the yokes off and the 'clip' doesn't budge at all with pressure from the outside. This is doing my head in. |

Re: Inner bar weights I'll give it another try. I saw someone used screwdrivers on another forum if i havn't got any pin punches. I've decided to take the bars off the bike to see if that makes it any easier this time. Thanks for the fast reply. |

Just a pin punch. I just checked the manual and it recommend spraying some WD40 into the bar through the pin hole to lubricate the inner weight - sounds like a good idea. |

My local dealrship said they find it to hard to do and recommend changing the bars but thats obvioulsy for the sake of making me pay £240 for new ones. Is there an easy technique to press them out? A mate of mine suggested g clamp and ball bearings but i havn't got any ball bearings and i'm not sure where to get them from. Is there a specific tool or anything you guys have used in the past? |

Inner bar weights Sadly, an inconsiderate cager knocked my girlfriend off her 929 back in january and we've been setting the bike straight over the last week. The interior bar weights were snapped about an inch and a half from the edge of the bar and i've bought the parts to replace them but i'm having a job getting them out.
