Just found my culprit on the bike, its a frayed signal wire making a ground contact on the engine casing. Im going to pull it off and fix the wire while I'm doing that I'm still going to do what you suggested to avoid future neutral light posts thanks mike

I have the exact same bike that had the same issue pull the switch its by your left foot peg single wire sensor screwed into the engine kinda hidden when you remove it spray wd40 in the plunger end and work it for a minute repeat a few times and it should take care if it

Neutral light stays on?

So I went for a ride yesterday( 97 900rr) and I noticed my green neutral light indicator stays on? The bike shifts fine but the indicator stays on no matter the gear. What should I be looking for? Or might this mean my clutch is F$$ked?
