If you have to glue the pinch bolt in with loctite, then it's not really performing any useful function i.e. pinching the axle. A helicoil kit is pretty cheap to buy and easy to install.

BTW, other one is still great or I wouldn't risk it. I check it anytime I check tyre pressures..has always stayed snug and in

I also have a striped pinch on the fork... stupid shop I naively trusted to rebuild the forks...long story. Anyway, not completely done for, anytime I take it out I ensure red locktite keeps it in place... holding up for now, but I know it has to get drilled and tapped soon...

Stripped pinch bolt thread

Previous owner had changed a pinch bolt on the fork lower ,I changed it for a OEM bolt ,unfortunaltly all the thread came out with it ,doh! . But I found a cheap helicoil kit on eBay item 262117486406 7.49 Worked really well and saved me loads in workshop fees .
