I still gotta go down and fill out an application. My friend who is the manager has been having some personal as well as health issues lately so she's been hard to get a hold of. Hopefully I can meet up with her on Monday or Tuesday when she's working.

Re: Does anyone here work for UPS?

You know what I did to get my foot in the door in my current company? ****ing filing paper for 8 hours a day. Granted, that only lasted for a couple months and I've had about 5 promotions since then, but you have to find a path and get going on it. Or you can always look short-term and still be in the same situation in 20 years, wondering where all the time went and what the hell happened...

We really are trying to help.

Go to www.upsjobs.com
Looks like they're accepting applications for drivers at a couple locations near you.

Unless you are blatently LIED TO!!! and suckered into doing crap that doesnt benefit you in the long run just fills a void in your resume so you hope you're not totally and absolutely wasting your life going to work everyday wondering how you are going to get SHAFTED each and every day.

But that may not apply to everyone.

living at home has nothing to do with the fact that I don't want to move to the midwest. If I really wanted to move away from here I could get a job in CA driving a truck no problem. But like this area here.

In many jobs, BA or BS degree is just a checkbox for HR.
hell art wasn't all that much of a major (not that many classes compared to other majors). I filled in credits by doing a geography minor and taking some other electives.
But I've also heard of jobs just wanting any kind of degree and atleast I can check that box while others can't.
