Re: best race/road boots.. I have a pair of S-MX 5 Waterproof Boots from Alpinestar. These boots are super comfortable. Tried a couple of other Alipinestar boots and some SIDI. These were the only pair that didnt put pressure on my right ankle, as i have a previous ankle injury that some boots rub. The S-MX 5 were perfect. Was court in a down pour and these boots really are waterproof. I think they were the only item of clothing left on me that wasnt wet. For me they are the perfect boot. |

Re: best race/road boots.. I wear Sidi Vortice air, for longer journeys and they are a dream. Fit me like a pair of slippers. Real comfortable and look good. Well worth the extra cost. For kicking around town i use the Speed Bikers Ankle boots, again very comfortable and better for short journeys. |

Re: best race/road boots.. I have the alpinestars one-o-ones. Never been crash tested, but the feel of em is they would probably save me in a crash, but would be useless after. They are VERY comfortable the stand and walk in (comfort like a shoe but with a ton more ankle support, but you can just loosen the velcro) and are pretty low-key and good looking |

Re: best race/road boots.. "As" for me even their race boots are comfortable to walk in, but then they are a better fit for my feet than Sidis' They are all good once you go for the better models, itll will depend on your shape of foot....simples |

Re: best race/road boots.. I've got some Dainese Torque out boots. They fit under jeans decently well, despite being out boots and they're pretty comfortable. I wear a size 11 shoe and the size 44 boots are just right, true to the sizing chart provided. They're on sale right now for $250. Cycle Gear - DAINESE: Torque Out Motorcycle Boots, BLACK |
