Re: What would you do?

which ever blade you fall in love with you'll keep...

i've not riden a 929/954, but i didn't get on with the 06 1000 so much..

IMO its technically better everywhere, but doesnt gel right & feels choppy.. the electical damper is a bit slow to let go too... kinda like "i want to exit now, make the bars go light, ah yes there it is thanks"

BTW people bang on about how much better the 06 bikes are, most i think of that is due to down gearing by honda, a cheap enough mod if u have an earlier one !

rejoice in having so many fine bikes & IMO everyone should own a honda V4 of some description

Thanks for all the replies fellow maniacs.........I'm set to pick it up next Thursday. For now, I plan to keep all three, and I will consider giving up one of the RR's next Spring.....I'll post some pics as soon as I get her in the Stable.

Re: What would you do?

Pass. If you want a full liter bike get a 06 or 07 1000RR . For road use the 954 is a better bike than the 04 RR. Save your money. Sell both bikes in the spring and get yourself a new R1.

Anywho, get it and re-sell in the spring. Quick flip. No problem.

If you can afford it buy it! You can always sell it later.

Re: What would you do?

Yeah it is night and day. It feels nothing like a 900/929/954. Riding position is different. Seat height is higher. Now this can be argued by specs, but ride a 1krr for 5 minutes and you'll see what I mean. Engine power is smoother, but theres just more of it. Hard turns it feels a bit sketchy (probably because of the riding position). Its much heavier feeling than a 954, it feels like a liter bike. And the bike is just plain uncomfortable to ride IMO. If you're just going down the road nice for any length of time, its just uncomfortable to sit on. Maybe you'll like it, but my buddy who owns it, another buddy that rides it all the time (more than the owner) and myself will all agree that the 1krr is only good for one thing. Long ass wheelies at very high speeds.

Re: What would you do?

I never have had the opportunity to ride the 1KRR, is it really a night and day difference? What would be the most noticeable difference? I would expect a little more power, but I've heard they can be difficult to dial-in. Is there a big difference in handling?
